AGENCY DESCRIPTION
Carmichael Lynch was established in 1962, and we’ve been re-establishing ourselves every day since to deliver the Unfair Ideas that give our clients an unfair advantage. Because we believe that’s what this business requires: a fresh perspective, a new approach, and an interdependent group of people dedicated to taking on whatever new challenge or opportunity the day brings.

That’s why we bring a holistic approach to marketing, gathering together the best of all disciplines under one roof. We understand that today’s modern companies need a creative partner that works the way they do: fast, open, and collaboratively. Which, done correctly, is itself a little unfair.

Marcus Fischer, Chief Executive Officer
Unparalleled instincts and a deeply analytical approach gave Marcus his start as a planner in the agency world. Today as the CEO of Carmichael Lynch, he leads the agency’s business, vision, and award-winning culture. Marcus has worked on some of the nation’s top brands and has been the strategic mind behind dozens of winning campaigns for clients ranging from BMW and Purina Dog Chow to Dairy Queen and Target to Subaru.
Marty Senn, Chief Creative Officer
Marty oversees the creative output of the agency. He has more than 20 years of experience developing award-winning cross-platform ideas and experiences and still gets excited about what’s next. He’s worked around the world and in almost every category, spending time at agencies on both coasts and in Europe, with credits ranging across tech, retail, sports, consumer goods, and so much more.
Julie Batliner, President
As president of Carmichael Lynch, Julie oversees the leadership and direction of the agency. She is the lead catalyst for integration of all agency offerings, bringing clients a holistic, cross-discipline approach to their marketing challenges. This unique ability to activate multiple and distinct agency resources based on individual client needs has accelerated growth for clients and the agency alike. She has been individually recognized with two Stevie Awards in the categories of Female Executive of the Year and Woman of the Year, named a PRWeek Power List Most Influential Communicator and a Working Mother of the Year by She Runs It (formerly AWNY).
Lachlan Badenoch, Chief Strategy Officer
Lachlan leads our planning team, unearthing both deep insights and a bit of brand poetry. With more than 20 years of strategic leadership at agencies in Europe and the U.S., Lachlan’s cross-discipline global experience has driven business thinking and marketing innovations for clients such as BMW, Virgin, Orange, McDonald’s, Nintendo, Kellogg’s, Heinz, Carlsberg, Nestlé, General Mills, and many others.
Carol Frazer Haynesworth, Director of Multicultural Strategy and Inclusion
Carol is responsible for developing business strategy, infrastructure and implementation of equity efforts across the agency’s portfolio of clients as well as the agency. Her commitment to bringing diversity and representation together in ways that benefit both people and brands is a thread evident in the work she’s done throughout her nearly two-decade career. Prior to joining Carmichael Lynch, Carol was at IPG Mediabrands, where she was the Vice President, Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and also led Ulta Beauty’s successful strategy and investment into the competitive multicultural space during her time at the agency.
Stacy Janicki, Director of Account Management
Stacy leads Carmichael Lynch’s account management department, delivering strategic leadership to clients and overseeing collaborative efforts within the agency. Her experience spans diverse business categories, including banking, retail, consumer packaged goods, outdoor recreation, telecommunications and healthcare. Stacy has been named a “Woman to Watch” and IPG’s Agency Champion of Inclusion, in part for her work on Blaze, an internal group focused on supporting the growth, development and retention of women at Carmichael Lynch.
Neil Goodspeed, Director of Media
Neil has led his team to myriad winning strategies for clients looking to max out creativity, innovative thinking, and progressive approaches to efficient media partnerships and activations. Neil’s team deploys advanced targeting and data-driven strategies across all of our clients, including a hands-on keyboard approach through our internal trade desk, and best-in-class brand safety and quality guidelines. With accomplishments like getting Jack Link’s Sasquatch in the ESPN Body Issue, selling eggrolls on Twitch, getting dogs adopted for Subaru, or breaking TikTok records in the first hour of a campaign launch, it’s no wonder he’s racked up industry-wide awards.
Grete Lavrenz, General Manager, Carmichael Lynch Relate
Grete runs day-to-day operations of the agency’s public relations team, ensuring everyone has the resources needed to produce the very best work for each client. She has a long history of success reinvigorating brands and leading clients and teams down a path toward strong business results and engagement.
