Richard Ward, President & Chief Executive Officer
Richard has over 20 years of agency management experience, an innovative, startup company mindset and an unparalleled passion for great creative work. Prior to joining 22squared in 2006, he served as Managing Director of FCB/San Francisco, helped launch the Internet startup search company Infoseek, worked on the team that ushered in an era of explosive growth at AOL, and managed global business development as a consultant for eBay. He’s worked on a wide range of brands and categories, including financial services, food and beverage, CPG, and retail, and has helped shape 22squared into the full-service, integrated agency it is today.
Scott Sheinberg, EVP/Tampa General Manager
Scott brings a unique history of leadership and creativity to the 22squared team, and has been with the agency since 2000. He began his career as a copywriter with Benito Advertising, later joined Earle Palmer Brown, and then took on the Executive Creative Director role at Henderson Advertising. Though Scott has led our agency to receive multiple creative accolades during his time as Chief Creative Officer, his leadership abilities led him to being named GM of our Tampa office. In his current role, he guides the Tampa office in recruiting talent, building successful client relationships, and nurturing our unique 22 culture.
Brandon Murphy, President
Brandon is driven by defying the odds. His mission is to always get better, see clearer, think bigger and help others to do the same. As President of 22squared, his winning combination of strategic insight, smarts, and sincerity is instrumental to the continued growth of the agency. For the past 12 years, Brandon has held leadership positions in almost every department in the agency and earned both the loyalty and commitment of both our clients and people. He’s helped propel Buffalo Wild Wings into the nation’s fastest growing casual dining restaurant, oversaw planning efforts on Effie award-winning campaigns for Costa Rica Tourism, Lincoln Financial, American Standard, and legacy client Publix Super Markets, and most recently, led the creation of our agency purpose - Together, We Give Rise to Change - to help sharpen our focus on driving change for our culture, our clients’ businesses, and the world around us.
John Stapleton, EVP/Director of Innovation & Design
John grew up through the creative ranks at 22squared, spending time in both our Atlanta and Tampa offices, leading campaigns for Publix, Buffalo Wild Wings, Baskin-Robbins, and Southeast Toyota. A designer by trade, and a tech geek at heart, he then began building the Innovation & Design practice to help our clients stay ahead of today’s rapidly-changing, highly-disruptive landscape. John and his team leverage human-centered design theories with technology applications to help our clients become digital leaders and connect with today’s consumer, all with the goal of driving business results.
Chris Tuff, EVP/Director of Content Marketing & Partnerships
As one of the first marketers to work directly with Facebook in 2005, Chris uses his 12 years of emerging media knowledge and social platform expertise to push the agency and our client partners forward. He oversees our Content Marketing team, which includes social strategy, platform partnerships, influencer marketing, and innovation. As a trusted partner of Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, and others, Chris helps our brands push the boundaries of content, create full-funnel stories, and drive accountable ROI. He’s obsessed with the “what’s next” in marketing, and is a sought out thought-leader for all things social.
Krista Lang, SVP/Executive Director of Media and Analytics
Krista has a successful history of leading her teams and clients to deliver on business goals. Her foundation of traditional media expertise is enhanced by her 6+ years of digital experience. At 22squared, she leads the Media Planning, Buying, Search, and Analytics teams, and works to collaborate across the agency to develop business-driving media and measurement plans for all of our brands. Krista has a wealth of client experience ranging from CPG to Financial to Retail, across Brand and DR, working on national brands like Nike, Wachovia, Miller Coors and Microsoft, to name a few. Her love for advertising comes honestly, and she will tell you that she was born into the advertising world, literally – her mom was a corporate Media Director, and her dad? A Sales Rep.
