The 4A’s South Texas Council Board of Governors cordially invites you to attend this special forum for 4A’s member agency executives, managers and staff in the South Texas Council area.
The death of George Floyd in 2020 served as an unfortunate catalyst for a reexamination of racial disparities in our country, including within our ad agency industry. Agencies began assessing their performance in the racial diversity of their staffs and recognized that POC (People of Color) were significantly under-represented. Agency leaders engaged in significant discussions with their Black, Hispanic and Asian employees, statements of commitment were made, diversity committees were created and even some appointments of DE&I Directors and Chief Diversity Officers. While these initiatives are positive and well-intended, the question remains: what should agencies really do to generate true improvement in organizational diversity and creating environments where all employees feel welcomed, empowered, valued and enabled to reach their full potential?
To provide perspectives and insights to help agencies address these questions, the 4A's South Texas Council presents The 4A's Talent Matters Forum: Insights and Guidance for DE&I Success. This program will be a moderated panel discussion led by Simon Fenwick (4A’s EVP, Talent, Equity & Development), featuring representatives from 4A’s member agencies that have been able to achieve impressive results in these areas. Discussion will focus on the strategies and approaches these agencies used in their efforts, and helpful insights from what they learned along the way. The 4A’s Talent Matters Forum will be a truly beneficial opportunity to gain perspectives on how your agency can advance its DE&I initiatives. We look forward to your participation!
