We were born as Kolar Advertising & Marketing 21 years ago becoming one of the largest, independent agencies in the SW region. We cut our teeth on complex channel marketing challenges for 3M and currently serve as the agency of record for four business units. We spent 10 years working with Dell across consumer and business-to-business categories becoming a go to agency as they grew from 2002 to 2009. We won two markets of Subway’s local business in mid-2005 (450 stores with $4 million in billings) and turned that into 29 markets (4,000 stores with over $30 million in billings) by 20010. We have been honored to be the agency of record for clients such as Baylor University, Cargill, Austin Tourism with full contact support from branding/positioning to digital. We served our country as a part of the U.S. Army team of agencies. And we have been sought out by companies like Gitanjali, a worldwide diamond brand, to re-brand their US retail brand Samuels Jewelers (130 stores).

Along the way, we build a reputation as difference makers in our clients’ businesses. We solved problems. We changed business models. We challenged our clients as much as they challenged us. But we have remained largely unknown outside our clients and former clients.

Re-Established in 2010
In 2010, Kolar’s general manager of 9-years, Bryan Christian, purchased the agency and merged with a small, eight-year old creative boutique called Smith, Jones and Johnson. We renamed the combined entity Proof to pay homage to the work we have done and to stake a higher ground for the work we plan to do tomorrow.

Proof means many things to us. The main definition of proof is a statement of fact that proves something is true in all cases. We believe that is what advertising and marketing is supposed to do. Uncover a compelling truth and tell it with clarity in an undeniable and compelling manner. It is how we approach our role on behalf of our clients. We find that kernel, that nugget of truth about their brands and reveal that truth to consumers in surprising ways.

The new agency will build off of the 21-year old foundation of Kolar. But it will also blaze new trails. Explore new ways of connecting clients’ brands with consumers. And build a reputation as one of the most inventive communications companies in America.
