Dean Broadhead, President + CEO
A 20-year marketing veteran, Dean founded the agency in 2001, seeking to build an organization to serve the increasingly transparent relationship among the markets that connect rural and urban consumers. A writer by trade, Dean recognized early on the role of digital in driving conversation and engagement as well as the impact it would have, specifically on food and agriculture. Dean is also driven by a core belief that clients value experience and he has built a multi-disciplined team that averages 15 years in the business. By coupling industry focus and team experience, Dean and his team have made broadhead the fastest growing agency in its space over the past decade.
Beth Burgy, Chief Operating Officer
Beth comes from a lifelong agricultural background, which has yielded expertise that she generously shares with agribusiness clients. Growing up on a beef and dairy farm in southern Wisconsin, Beth also brings more than 18 years of advertising agency experience with a variety of clients. She has worked on the advertising and public relations side of the business with clients like American Cyanamid, Bayer CropScience, Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Novartis/Syngenta Crop Protection, Pfizer Animal Health, The Mosaic Company and United Phosphorus, Inc. True to her track record with clients, Beth challenges her teams to approach each client’s business with a truly integrated marketing approach.
Troy Schroeder, Chief Marketing Officer
Troy brings clients nearly 15 years of experience in marketing and a diverse background in strategic plan development and execution. His work on the client side has provided invaluable knowledge in understanding organizations and building consensus across functional groups – skills he uses on a daily basis to help his clients’ marketing programs succeed. Troy’s unique ability to quickly understand a client’s business, marketplace and target audiences gives him the perspective to determine what really matters for success. While at broadhead he has led numerous award-winning campaigns from concept to completion.
Greg Wetzel, Chief Creative Officer
Greg has more than 30 years of experience building award-winning B2B and B2C campaigns across categories ranging from health care to manufacturing. Throughout his expansive career, Greg has worked on iconic brands such as Caterpillar, Land O’ Lakes, Purina, Pfizer, Bayer, 3M, General Mills, and Cargill. At broadhead, Greg’s leadership and deep understanding of the rural segment drives the creative he and his team develop, creating communications for clients that are both highly imaginative and effective.
