Tom Hansen, President
Tom won multiple national and international creative awards before discovering his real talent was in creating insightful strategies. So he evolved his skills, founded his own agency and grew it to $180 million and 120 employees in just five years. As a serial entrepreneur, Tom has been involved with a board game, a line of underwear, several restaurants and, most recently, still image and video compression technology and the launch of two niche cable networks featuring branded content. Along the way he learned the value of living the client’s business as if it was his own … because sometimes it was.

A native Iowan, Dave is a 19-year advertising and marketing veteran. He has conceived
and implemented marketing programs and advertising campaigns that have done more than win gold EFIEs for effectiveness and a Cannes Gold Lion for creativity, but also differentiated companies in ways that drastically built brands and sales. Dave doesn’t think about planning as “voice of the consumer” but as helping create real business change that improves our clients’ futures. To him, it’s about focusing not just on what is, but on what could be. A trained moderator with a degree from the Cambridge Institute’s moderation training program, Dave believes in pushing qualitative research techniques and practices to keep up with the changing market realities clients are facing today.

With a background heavy in painting, drawing and art direction, Jim brings a uniquely
aesthetic sensibility to business problems, an approach that earned him Adweek’s Creative Director of the Year award. Prior to becoming chief creative officer at TM, Jim was with Sedgwick Rd. for 18 years, the first eight as creative director and the last 10 leading the agency. Jim has repeatedly proven his ability to create highly successful national launches for his clients, including Taco Bell and POWERade, and led the growth of the Washington Mutual brand from a Washington-only thrift to the sixth largest financial institution in the country. His vision is to help create an independently minded creative agency with unparalleled resources.
