David Bohan, Chairman
David founded the agency that bears his name in 1990 and is actively involved in its operation. He also is a leader in the advertising industry and is someone who believes strongly in developing and encouraging future generations of marketers. He is on the board of the American Association of Advertising Agencies--the first Nashvillian on that board--and is an active member of the Nashville Advertising Federation. His brand and client experience is both broad and deep and includes work in nearly every client and sector. David is accustomed to working with large organizations. He was on the ground floor of the creation of Tennessee's tourism department--the first cabinet-level state tourism department in the nation and was its first assistant commissioner of marketing. Early in his agency life, he managed the multi-faceted operations of Opryland, USA (hospitality, entertainment, theme park, broadcasting and more), and when he started his own agency, he remained interested in tourism and economic/community development through work with the City of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Pigeon Forge was BOHAN's original client, and it remains a cornerstone client today. Agency-client relationships that last two decades are extremely rare, and this one is a testament to great work and solid personal connections.

David is on the adjunct faculty of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is on the Board of Visitors for UT College of Communications and Information and is a leader in the university's billion-dollar Campaign for Tennessee. The year BOHAN was created, David dedicated a percentage of its gross profit to UT scholarships for advertising majors, making a clear statement that he believes in grooming future leaders.
Kerry Graham, Vice Chairman/CEO
Kerry is not just a seasoned advertising professional passionate about our business, he is the consummate adman. He has worked at some of the country's great agencies, including Hill Holiday, J. Walter Thompson and Henderson. He also founded his own multi-million dollar ad agency and served as president of two others. He is a creative director, an author and an insightful brand strategist.

Kerry has been BOHAN's hands-on and highly involved president since late 2006, appointed as the Vice Chairman and CEO in 2014. He supervises the heads of media, creative, account service, planning and digital strategy departments, and he plays very active roles with our key clients. He is involved from the early stages of strategy development and interacts with client-side management on a daily basis.

In addition to managing the day-to-day affairs of the agency, Kerry also serves on the Board of Wake Forest University, is actively involved in Leadership Nashville and serves on the board of Cheekwood Fine Arts Center.
Shari Day, President/COO
As President/COO, Shari Day leads the day-to-day account operations of the agency, working closely with the senior leadership team to make sure the agency is running smoothly and efficiently for all clients. A talented account person, Shari also serves as co-leader of two of the agency’s accounts, Dollar General and JoS. A. Bank, and has also worked on TriStar Health and Stoney River.

Shari began her career as a broadcast producer in Orlando. She then spent 16 years growing ad agency Davis-Newman-Payne in Knoxville, Tennessee. Shari created national and global marketing strategies for Sea Ray Boats, Boston Whaler and Azimut Yachts. She successfully positioned regional grocery store chain, Food City, to go head-to-head with national competition encroaching on local turf. She also developed comprehensive marketing and advertising strategies across consumer touch points for The University of Tennessee Medical Center.

The American Association of Advertising Agency’s project management committee recently tapped Shari to be its newest member. The 4A’s is the national trade association of the advertising agency business, and Day’s work group helps member agencies of all sizes develop expertise in project management.

Shari graduated from The University of Central Florida with a business degree. She is an active volunteer for Catholic Charities.

Shari lives in Nashville with husband, Farley, and is the proud mom of son, Patrick, a member of the Naval Special Operations.
Gayle Fuson, EVP/Chief Financial Officer
Gayle has been with BOHAN almost since the inception of the agency. As she would say "I wasn't there the day the doors opened, but I got here as soon as I could." That was in 1992, and since then, Gayle has helped the agency grow and earn the respect of clients and vendors through careful and thorough financial management. She became a partner in 2005.

Gayle has assembled a solid team in the finance department, where team members see no barriers within the agency. Accounting personnel work closely with the creative, media and account service departments to make the numbers side of the business run smoothly. Gayle also directs the agency's human resource function.
John Sharpe, Chief Marketing Officer
John quietly celebrated his 35-year anniversary in advertising agency management recently. During that time he has worked with a variety of clients in a wide range of categories. Those years of experience have made him particularly qualified to lead the BOHAN new account transition team, providing expert guidance and counsel during the critical first 90-120 days of a new client relationship when the agency and client adjust to becoming true operational partners.
Rich Melin, Vice President/Director of Media
New York native Rich Melin arrived at BOHAN in 2004 and brought with him more than 20 years experience in managing media programs for regional, national and international clients at well-known agencies such as YPB and Cramer-Kresselt in Orlando and New York. At Cramer, he helped position Gainesville Regional Utility for an influx of competition during a time of deregulation in Florida markets.

Rich has managed media teams for a wide variety of brands, including the Florida Department of Citris, the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, Winn-Dixie and Walt Disney World Resorts.

The media philosophy that guides Rich says that success comes not from outspending others but by doing things that are "media smart." Rich and his team work diligently to match message with media and constantly find attention-getting methods to reach people in memorable ways.
Brian Gilpatrick, Senior Vice President/Consumer Insights & Planning
Brian is our resident chief behavioral scientist, para-psychologist, ethnographer, cultural
anthropologist and both the strategic offensive and defensive coordinator for our
agency team.

As head of BOHAN’s customer insights and planning discipline, Brian’s job and his
passion is digging up the buried bones of unique business niches, customer
motivations, cultural nuances and unique research methodologies – then piecing them
all together into strategies that solve business problems and seize opportunity in
transformational ways.

And he’s been doing it here for 20 years.
Jon Arnold, Group Creative Director
Jon Arnold will always win the contest of whose birthplace has the coolest name.
His answer to that getting-to-know-you question is Coolville, Ohio. Honest.

Beyond having that cool birthplace, Jon makes creative projects shine.
He’s done that for Ford Motor Company, the NFL and Turner Classic Movies and
many other clients at agencies such as Mullen, CORE and TBWA Chiat/Day before joining BOHAN. He’s one of the quiet creatives whom clients cherish.
