Sharon Napier, CEO
Named one of Advertising Age’s most influential women in the industry, Sharon Napier is a lifelong entrepreneur, business expert, and marketing visionary. With more than 30 years of experience and no intention of slowing down, Sharon has built her career and reputation as one of the most recognizable and trusted voices in advertising.

As founder and CEO of Partners + Napier, Sharon has built a nationally recognized agency whose ever-expanding team is entrusted with guiding some of the world’s most iconic brands. Born with a challenger mindset, the scrappy creative shop is the David to many industry Goliaths, with a long track record of winning national and global relationships including Capital One, BMW Financial Services, Constellation Brands, AT&T, Delta Private Jets, ConAgra Foods, and Lufthansa Airlines. The agency recently launched a new creative boutique in New York City.

After less than a decade of growth at Partners + Napier, Sharon became one of the few women leaders who have built and sold an agency. She led its acquisition by global independent agency network Project: WorldWide in 2011. In addition to her responsibilities at Partners + Napier, Sharon has served as a member of Project: WorldWide’s Global Strategic Leadership Team since the acquisition, helping to guide the new model as it continues to make waves and headlines.

Sharon is a frequent speaker at industry events, including Advertising Week, the 4A's Transformation Conference, and the American Marketing Association. She was also the keynote speaker at Advertising Age's inaugural Small Agency Conference.
Jeff Gabel, Chief Creative Officer
Jeff Gabel is chief creative officer at Partners + Napier. With more than 30 years of industry experience, his leadership has helped craft countless brands, including Capital One, Lufthansa Airlines, Bausch + Lomb, Ray-Ban, Wegmans, UPS, Keurig Green Mountain, Xerox, and Mobil. His work has also won numerous awards, including One Show, Mobius, Telly, Prism, and ADDY awards. Jeff has judged the North American Finalist Effie Awards and the 4A’s O’Toole Awards for Creative Excellence, and has been an engaging voice at TEDx, the Rochester Advertising Federation, the Association of National Advertisers, and 4A’s conferences.
Sarah Hanson, President, Rochester
Sarah Hanson may have spent the majority of her career at advertising agencies, but she’s a true marketer at heart, bringing a passion for the rigor and strategic challenges of marketing to her role as president of Partners + Napier’s Rochester office. Sarah spent nearly 20 years at Y&R New York, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Digitas in Boston, where she led Fortune 500 companies across a variety of industries in virtually all marketing channels. She joined Partners + Napier as CMO in 2009, and wasted no time in racking up several new business wins including Keurig Green Mountain, Capital One, Delta Private Jets, and many others. As part of a lean senior team, Sarah has played an invaluable role in the agency’s growth and partnership development, and building the Partners + Napier brand as a nationally recognized creative agency.
Matt Dowshen, President, NYC
With over two decades of experience at global network shops, Matt Dowshen joined Partners + Napier’s new creative boutique in NYC in 2014. Previously, Matt was senior partner, managing director and director of client services at Ogilvy New York, where he ran the Philips, Kraft, Time Warner Cable, Stolichnaya, Bacardi/Grey Goose and Cisco accounts. Before Ogilvy, Matt worked on IKEA, Kodak, Novartis, and Anheuser-Busch at Deutsch. In his early career, he spent over a decade at JWT. There, he worked on several CPG/beauty brands under Unilever and Warner Lambert before moving to Bangkok to run the Southeast Asian Unilever business as senior partner, group director. Matt also spent time in London and Sao Paolo, where he ran the global Unilever Lux business, before moving back to NYC to lead the global and North American De Beers business.
Jason Marks, Executive Creative Director, NYC
Jason Marks is a visionary creative leader with over a decade of experience, primarily at large agencies including Ogilvy, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, and R/GA. His work has earned numerous Pencils, Cubes, and Lions. Before joining Partners + Napier’s new creative boutique in NYC in 2013 as executive creative director, Jason was senior partner, group creative director at Ogilvy New York, where he led special projects for IBM such as putting the WATSON supercomputer on Jeopardy!, and led the GAP and Philips global accounts. At Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Jason developed integrated campaigns for Burger King, Kraft, Microsoft, Coke Zero, Volkswagen, Jose Cuervo, and Windows Phone. Similarly, at MTV Networks, Jason produced branded content for clients like McDonald’s, Pepsi, Axe, Nike, and L’Oreal. Earlier in his career, Jason was part of a select team that helped introduce several innovations for Nike, including NikeID, NikeLab, Art of Speed, and NikeFootball.
Courtney Cotrupe, Managing Director, Rochester
Courtney joined Partners + Napier 10 years ago after cutting her teeth at Ogilvy New York. Having held several senior roles on the account leadership team before assuming the role of managing director at Partners + Napier's Rochester office, Courtney has led some of our largest clients, including Constellation Brands, Delta Private Jets, Keurig Green Mountain, and Lufthansa Airlines. Courtney leads our account teams to consistently exceed our clients’ expectations. She also plays a key role in talent acquisition as well as new client relations, where she is responsible for constructing teams of account leaders, designers, project managers and more to deliver the absolute best of the agency.
Scott Chapman, Executive Director, Finance
Scott Chapman began his career in public accounting, gaining experience as a CPA working on various clients – from large publicly traded companies to privately held middle market businesses. It was then that he was first introduced to the leadership at what is now Partners + Napier, somewhat fortuitously working on the original transaction that formed the agency. Seeing the passion and dedication over the first several years result in significant growth, Scott joined the team and has been with the agency for six years. As executive director of finance, Scott’s primary responsibility is to oversee the financial operations of the growing company, including budget development and planning, client contracts, compensation and compliance.
Pete VonDerLinn, Executive Creative Director, Rochester
Pete VonDerLinn is executive creative director of Partners + Napier's Rochester office, and has been with the agency for 11 years. During his 23 years in marketing, Pete’s creative leadership has impacted brands including BMW Financial Services, UPS, Constellation Brands, Keurig Green Mountain, DuPont, Sanmina, TECGEN, Friendship Dairies, and many more. His work has been recognized by the One Show, PRINT, and ADDYs (including Best of Show and ROI awards), as well as industry publications like Logo Lounge. Pete has served as an adjunct professor of advertising and design at Syracuse University and president of the Rochester Advertising Federation.
