Mike Caguin, Chief Creative Officer
Mike likes to say the secret of his success is that he surrounds himself with a diverse group of creative, driven thinkers and craftspeople—no matter which side of the creative/account or advertising/PR divides they sit on. And, that’s true. But, by the time he completed his 10th (and counting) marathon (and an Ironman triathlon), it became clear there’s a fair amount of personal drive and talent at work, as well. Before coming to Colle+McVoy as our fearless creative leader, Mike worked at agencies that include TBWA\Chiat\Day and Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners on brands including Allianz Life, BMW MINI, the Detroit Pistons, Infiniti, Inter-Continental Hotels, Minnesota Wild, Nissan and Sun Microsystems. Under his leadership, Colle+McVoy has been recognized in some of the industry’s most revered award shows, including Cannes Lions, The One Show, the Webby Awards, the Effies and has been named a Midsize Agency of the Year finalist by the O'Toole Awards.
Phil Johnson, Chief Operating Officer
Innovation, strategic thinking and top-notch execution are Phil’s secrets for ensuring our clients’ success. During his more than 25 year tenure, Phil has supervised the marketing mobilization of Land O’Lakes, Farm Credit, CNH (Case/New Holland) and Time Warner Cable, among others. Phil was also named Marketer of the Year by the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA), its most prestigious honor. He is a nationally recognized leader in the Boy Scouts of America and had been inducted into the University of Nebraska Advertising Hall of Fame.
Lisa Miller, Chief Financial Officer
From the day-to-day details to the big picture stuff—like ensuring our employees enjoy a productive, financially rewarding workplace and our clients work with an efficient finance process—if it has to do with finances or infrastructure, Lisa is on it. Since joining Colle+McVoy in 2000, she has designed and maintained the sophisticated financial reporting and planning systems that enhance our entrepreneurial and creative spirit. Her leadership has helped transform Colle+McVoy into a nationally recognized agency that continues to grow. When not working, she’s probably rollerblading, gardening or cheering madly at a sporting event.
Lorenz Esguerra, Managing Director, Business Development
With more than 20 years of experience in the advertising and marketing industry, Esguerra has held strategic leadership positions at Mattel, Procter & Gamble and Bain & Co. specializing in successful business development and customer experience. He also has focused experience in digital marketing and most recently managed the marketing function and high-growth new business opportunities for Modern Climate. Prior to this, he held managing director positions at numerous companies such as BBDO Proximity, Blast Radius WPP and Carlson Companies. His marketing experience includes work with many well-known brands like Jamba Juice, FrontPoint Security, the Mosaic Company, Firestone, Comcast and Disney.
Tom Lindell, Managing Director, Exponent PR
Under Tom’s leadership, EXPONENT PR, Colle+McVoy’s public relations partner, has earned national accolades for mobilizing influential audiences and building lasting connections through belief in brands. Exponent was recently named 2014 Agency of the Year Finalist by PR Week and The Holmes Group for its modern approach to create believers. Tom has a 20-year track record has helped high-profile brands such as Nestlé Purina, Caribou Coffee, Maytag Appliances, Novartis, General Mills, Johnson&Johnson, Medtronic and Duluth Trading Company. Tom is a member of the Minnesota Zoo Foundation Board of Trustees and a certified Special Olympics Minnesota coach.
John Doyle, Executive Director of Brand Experience
John thrives on helping brands make the most sense of today’s complex world, and use that understanding to develop an advantage over the competition. As executive director of brand experience, John is responsible for the development and creation of cohesive brand experiences across marketing disciplines. He also invents and reinvents new mediums to drive business growth for our clients.

John hails from Chicago where he led strategy, digital, social, media, experiential and content creation teams at several noted agencies. He has more than 15 years of multi-channel experience working with many admired brands, including American Airlines, Bank of America Best Buy, Coca-Cola, Edward Jones, Hilton Worldwide, Ingersoll Rand, Kellogg’s, Kohler, Porsche, Quaker, Samsung and Under Armour, among others. His work has been recognized by the Effie Awards, Communication Arts, FWA, the OMMA Awards and the Webby Awards. Following his college years, John spent time in Colorado where he was a screenwriter/ski bum. While he didn’t land that movie deal, he did find something much, much better: his wife, Emily.
Nicole Pomerleau, Director of Media
Nicole is a pop culture junkie who can’t decide whether she picked media or media picked her. Nicole is responsible for all media planning and buying, as well as guiding emerging media strategies. Her passion for ideas has taken her to agencies in Minneapolis, San Francisco and London. Drawing on using her experience working with blue chip brands like Bravo, Escada, Microsoft, Lacoste and Levi Strauss & Co., Nicole has transformed the media department at Colle+McVoy. With her team, she has contributed to campaigns that have achieved success for clients such as Indian Motorcycle, Pedal Minnesota and WinField. She recently accepted two highly coveted awards on behalf of the agency, the O’Toole Award for Media Excellence and the MediaPost Creative Media Award, and she was named a winner in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s annual Women In Business Awards.
