Fred Moore, President and CEO
Fred was born and raised in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. It is this culture and state of mind that inform his no-nonsense approach to branding – “People believe people.”

Fred’s branding insights have taken him from the small town to the big time, where he has served as a thought leader at cutting-edge ad agencies including Publicis, Lintas, Arnold, BBDO NY and Saatchi & Saatchi NY while working on some of the world’s largest leading brands, including Pepsi, IBM and Procter & Gamble.

In 2001 Fred founded Big River. In a short time, Big River has amassed an impressive list of national and regional clients including WellPoint, Harris Williams & Co., MoonPie, the National 4-H Council and the Virginia Lottery.
Terry Taylor, Executive Creative Director
Terry Taylor has worked at nearly every major agency in the industry, including Chiat/Day, DMB&B, BBDO, Ogilvy & Mather, Earle Palmer Brown and Arnold. Besides national awards in Communication Arts, D&AD, Clios and Addies, his portfolio boasts the likes of Nissan, Pepsi, SAP, Budweiser, Twix, Virginia Lottery, Barbados and Burger King. Perhaps you’ve seen his work on the Super Bowl, or his recent novel on Twitter, or his picture in the post office. Okay, that’s not him.
Marcel Jennings, Associate Creative Director
Last night's team deathmatch. The rake and trail of the new GSX-R. Who's a sleeper on the fantasy football waiver wire. All topics you'll discuss when you swing by Marcel's desk. You can discuss all sorts of advertising and branding with him, too. He's done a lot of it at places in New York like Fallon and Ogilvy, and most recently DDB in Chicago. A graduate of the VCU Brandcenter and Richmond area native, Marcel is excited to be back on his home court doing what he does best: cooking. Just kidding, he can't cook. He's an amazing eater, though.
Noel Ritter, Associate Creative Director
Noel has worked as an art director on everything from a high school yard-sale sign to the conception of GEICO's Cavemen and Rozerem's (the sleep-aid) use of Abraham Lincoln and his Beaver sidekick. His work has appeared in One Show, Print, CA and Adweek, as well as the Met in NY. Other brands include: NIKE, IKEA, TARGET, Georgio Armani, Mott's Apple Sauce and TANG instant breakfast drink. Other brands Noel has actually worked on include: Porsche, Corona, AirTran, Saab, NASA, the JFK Library & Museum, TV Land and PING, among others. Noel is a licensed organ donor.
Jan Crable, Executive Account Director
Jan Crable is one of the region’s top experts on health and wellness branding for companies like WellPoint, HMC, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, NextRx, Massey Cancer Center, University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina, INOVA Health System and Family Access to Medical Insurance Security Plan (FAMIS) with the VA Department of Medical Assistance Services. Over the course of her career Jan has carved her reputation as a top strategist by helping clients like Freddie Mac, Virginia Tourism Corporation, the National 4-H Council, and Virginia Lottery Sports Marketing find the best solutions to their business problems, while her tireless work ethic has brought her gold Effies for her work with USAfrica Airways and the Fairfax County Economic Development Board. You should feel better with Jan on the job.
Sarah Trickey, Group Account Director
Rebuilding the McDonald's account for an entire country is not your average McJob. But Sarah Trickey did it at DDB in Australia so well she was named employee of the year. Pretty impressive in a country known for throwing shrimp on barbies instead of Big Macs and fries. Navigating change around brands like TLC, GEICO, Nescafe, Mastercard, AOL and Thomasville at agencies like Martin and McCann-Erickson London gives Sarah a background to take on any challenge no matter the geography or accent. Her team won over 30 industry awards at Martin alone. She's smart, opinionated, collaborative and understands everything from gecko humor to "food porn." That's a lot of territory.
Kelly Slothower, Executive Strategist
Kelly Slothower is passionate about understanding people. As an planning director at shops like Arnold, Leo Burnett and MARC USA, Kelly has worked on Fortune 500 brands like Procter & Gamble, Hallmark, GE, Heinz and Mellon Financial. Creating spot-on strategy requires intelligent analysis. It is part science, part intuition. From quantitative to qualitative, Kelly looks for the insight to help turn research into great creative work. Kelly knows exactly what your customers think of you and she has the guts to tell you. That’s invaluable, just like Kelly.
