Jeff King, CEO
Before assuming his current role as CEO, Jeff spent 20 years as an account leader. Jeff started his career as an intern with Barkley while obtaining an Advertising degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. After five years in account management with Barkley, Jeff moved to Austin where he gained experience at Omnicom-owned GSD&M. His next stop was a midsize agency in Atlanta called Fletcher Martin. In 2000, Jeff returned to Barkley and has been CEO since 2009. Under his leadership, the agency has grown its practice to include Daisy, Sprint, Applebee’s, Hershey, Dairy Queen and Anheuser Busch.
Dan Fromm, President and COO
Dan has been with Barkley for 10 years. As President and COO, Dan manages client teams and oversees our digital, media, creative and innovation efforts. He ensures that we are delivering our best work to clients, pushing our agency and our clients into the new marketing landscape. After six years at ESPN that included two Emmy awards, Dan co-founded Three Wide Marketing, which was purchased by Barkley in 2003. Since joining Barkley, Dan has played a lead role on a number of accounts including Build-A-Bear Workshop, Cerner, Ball Canning and Payless.
Jason Parks, EVP/Managing Director
Jason has 15+ years of experience developing brand strategy in the CPG, retail and consumer goods categories. As managing director he oversees all client relationships with a focus on driving business results for Barkley’s clients. He has led strategy that has resulted in award-winning work, including Cannes Lions, National ADDYs and the Digital Innovation Awards. He was also recently honored as one of Kansas City’s 40 most influential business leaders under the age of 40. He has worked with bluechip brands including Target, ESPN, Dairy Queen, Nestlé Purina, Ball and Hershey.
Tim Galles, Chief Idea Officer
Tim leads strategy and creative throughout the agency, working with the strategy, business, digital, contact, social and innovation teams to build a bridge between strategic insights and creative actions. He has a passion for inventing unique ideas that go beyond traditional and nontraditional definitions. Prior to Barkley, Tim worked at Leo Burnett and J. Walter Thompson where he launched the “Let’s Fix Dinner” initiative for Nestlé’s Stouffer’s brand and several rebranding efforts for Kimberly-Clark’s Huggies, Kleenex and Pull-Ups. He has experience working with brands such as HSBC, Microsoft, Reebok, GM, Energizer, GMC, Christian Dior and AT&T.
Jason Elm, Executive Creative Director
Jason joins us from California where he spent 14 years as a copywriter and group creative director at Deutsch LA. During his time there he created famous campaigns for brands including PlayStation, DIRECTV, Mitsubishi, TGI Friday’s,, Pop Secret and Baskin-Robbins. His “It Only Does Everything” campaign helped the PS3 outsell Xbox360 for the first time ever, for 13 straight months. Jason has won every major industry award, including Cannes Lions, Gold Effies and a Best of Show National ADDY. He also had three spots for three separate clients air in one Super Bowl, one being awarded “Best Ad of the Game” by CBS.
