Sam Meers, President/CEO
I’m a dreamer. To me, there are no small ideas. Advertising professionals have a responsibility to bring our clients the best ideas possible. Strategies they have never considered. We challenge the status quo. That’s our role. That’s my role.

It’s great to be CEO when you are surrounded by an incredible team. Every day we are reshaping the agency model. Our business is a craft with a gentle mix of science. I get to bring people together to create great work for our clients. It’s the best job in the world.

I am grateful for the community that brought me here. Not just the Kansas City community, but the community of advertising and marketing professionals with which I’ve had the opportunity to learn from over the past 30 years.

When I think about the people who have entered my life, I feel honored to have known them. And I feel a responsibility to give back to the community that has given so much to me.

I believe in the future of advertising so I serve as VP Finance of The American Advertising Federation – KC, the Board of Governors of the Kansas City AAAAs, and am a member of the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program.

I see a world full of opportunity. And I’m looking for clients and potential employees willing to help us seek it out.
Allisyn Wheeler, Director, Channel Strategy
I'm responsible for Channel Strategy at Meers. Some call it Media, but Channel is a better descriptor. I collaborate with clients and our internal teams to deliver the right message to the right audience. We do this by asking questions — hard questions — then we work to deliver the best solutions. My career has been spent in advertising. I’m passionate about bringing innovative solutions that combine media and creative. That’s when advertising works best.

I love Meers. The agency feeds my insatiable curiosity. And it brings out my competitive streak. I get to bring ideas to our clients other agencies would never dream of. And, I get to work with a group of incredibly talented people – both at Meers and with our clients.

I'm a mom that prefers a Jeep Wrangler over a minivan. My ideal vacation is in the mountains, skiing during the day and sipping a great wine by night. I’m married to a great guy, have a precious daughter and an English Bulldog, Bella. They make the long days in advertising worth it.

I love my clients. Which is good, considering my job at Meers is building great relationships with them. It’s amazing that I get to work with clients, crafting strategies to help them succeed, look smart and win. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide-range of clients—CPG, natural, B2B, B2C, global, national, local, big and small brands—and the consistent thread is that they all want to do what’s right for their business, and want to work with an agency that understands their brand (and have a little fun in the process). My work with these great folks has allowed me to hone my skills in helping deliver leads and product to a variety of consumers.
I love this business. Every day, I get to come in to work and have my mind blown by the talent of those around me. Seriously, how do they come up with this stuff? Another large part of my job is making sure internal relationships are humming, and that my team gets what they need to make amazing things—whether it’s input, honest feedback, tough conversation, or even donuts. Having tight-knit relationships both internally and with clients means that I can be the voice of the client within the walls of Meers, and the voice of the team with clients. Playing both roles is critical to delivering great work.
I love this community. KC has such great heart and embodies what I love about people in the Midwest— telling it to you straight, with a smile. I take this great vibe with me when I visit clients. No matter where I am, across the country or abroad, that Midwest attitude translates everywhere.
I love my Dudes. That’s dudes with a capital D—two boys and pretty damn amazing husband. Life with Dudes is messy and crazy and fun, and different every day. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Which, come to think of it, kinda sounds like agency life.

This philosophy has guided me for more than 20 years with a keen focus applied on digital. In this time span, I have been fortunate enough to work across many category verticals including healthcare, finance, energy and production, CPG, kid’s marketing, environmental and tech.
