Richard Ward, President & Chief Executive Officer
Richard has over 20 years of agency management experience, an innovative, startup company mindset and an unparalleled passion for great creative work. Prior to joining 22squared in 2006, he served as Managing Director of FCB/San Francisco, helped launch the Internet startup search company Infoseek, worked on the team that ushered in an era of explosive growth at AOL, and managed global business development as a consultant for eBay. He’s worked on a wide range of brands and categories, including financial services, food and beverage, CPG, and retail, and has helped shape 22squared into the full-service, integrated agency it is today.
Scott Sheinberg, EVP/Tampa General Manager
Scott brings a unique history of leadership and creativity to the 22squared team, and has been with the agency since 2000. He began his career as a copywriter with Benito Advertising, later joined Earle Palmer Brown, and then took on the Executive Creative Director role at Henderson Advertising. Though Scott has led our agency to receive multiple creative accolades during his time as Chief Creative Officer, his leadership abilities led him to being named GM of our Tampa office. In his current role, he guides the Tampa office in recruiting talent, building successful client relationships, and nurturing our unique 22 culture.
Brandon Murphy, EVP/Chief Strategy Officer
Brandon is responsible for strategic oversight for all of our clients’ brands. He guides brand, content, engagement and digital strategy while integrating media planning, activation, CRM and analytics. Having been with the agency for ten years, he’s led a variety of successful campaigns for our clients, as well as helped reposition and rebrand the agency from WestWayne to 22squared. Prior to joining 22squared, Brandon was a strategist at Campbell-Ewald, at Fahlgren Advertising, and at a shopper-marketing firm specializing in retail branding strategies.
John Stapleton, EVP/Chief Creative Director
John has been with the agency for 15 years and now spearheads creative development for all of our clients. He was key in 22squared’s rebranding efforts, positioning the agency for the rapidly changing media landscape. Well-known in the advertising community as a top digital pioneer, he also has a long history of telling integrated brand stories that drive action. His work has garnered lots of recognition from award shows such as The Effies, Communication Arts and The One Show. In his free time, John tends to tackle anything with two wheels, from climbing the steep mountains of North Georgia on his Trek to bombing down the fast single track on his Yeti.
Chris Tuff, EVP/Director of Partnerships
Chris was one of the first marketers to work directly with Facebook in 2005, and is now one of the foremost thought leaders in the digital space. Sometimes described as having a "passion disorder," he is always on top of emerging trends. He oversees business development efforts and helps push to get our existing clients access to first-to-market ad products and offerings while educating them along the way. When he is not traveling around the country for business, he's networking while kite boarding, running, or cycling.
Ed Klein, EVP/Executive Group Director
Ed is an experienced leader whose brand building expertise has been built “on both sides of the table” for some of the world’s most loved brands. Ed started at Doner working on Chiquita, Red Roof Inns, Iams Pet Food and Coca-Cola. He was eventually recruited by Coca-Cola, and served as Advertising Director for brand Coke worldwide, Global Brand Director for Diet Coke and VP Marketing for Diet Coke in the U.S. He then took the lead at a small regional agency, growing the firm as its President by adding brands like Miller Brewing, EarthLink and Intercontinental Hotels. After a successful sale of the agency, Ed joined 22squared and now oversees several agency accounts, including American Standard, Mizuno, PGA TOUR Superstore, Krystal, and SunTrust.
Krista Lang, SVP/Executive Media Director
Krista has a successful history of leading her teams and clients to deliver on business goals. Her foundation of traditional media expertise is enhanced by her 6+ years of digital experience. At 22squared, she leads the Media Planning, Buying and Search teams and works to collaborate across the agency to develop business-driving media plans for all of our brands. Krista has a wealth of client experience ranging from CPG to Financial to Retail, across Brand and DR, working on national brands like Nike, Wachovia, Miller Coors and Microsoft, to name a few. Her love for advertising comes honestly, and she will tell you that she was born into the advertising world, literally – her mom was a corporate Media Director, and her dad? A Sales Rep.
Tom Fuller, Chief Financial Officer
Tom has been our CFO since he joined the agency in 1990. Before that, he spent four years as CFO at Austin Kelley Advertising. When he’s not crunching numbers or spending time with his wife and two daughters, Tom serves on numerous boards around the city, including Midtown Alliance, Peachtree Club, and Eagle Ranch. He remains very active in the community and is the co-founder of AFO, Atlanta Financial Officers, a group of Atlanta-area agency financial professionals. Tom admits he got into advertising for the sole purpose of getting a vanity plate with the advertising/accounting double entendre, “ADDGUY.” Ahem.
