Alan Elkin, Chief Executive Officer
Alan Elkin, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer began his career in the media industry at Kaiser Broadcast, which, under his direction as Senior Vice President of Sales, later became Field Communications and then Katz Media Group, the largest media representation firm in the United States.

Mr. Elkin has been awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Ernst & Young, and has received the Averell Harriman International Trade Award and the British American Business Inc. (BABi) Award in recognition of Active's global accomplishments. He served as President of the Corporate Barter Council for the International Reciprocal Trade Association, and has been on their board of directors for the past ten years.

Mr. Elkin has made community involvement a priority. Active Cares, a charitable activity created in 1997, has provided contributions to over 600 charities. In 2005, he received the Medal of Honor from Good Samaritan Hospital for this work and in 2006 the company acquired the naming rights for the Active International Cardiovascular Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital.

A native of New York, Alan received his B.A. degree from Brooklyn College.
Arthur Wagner, President
Arthur Wagner is President and co-founder of Active International. He is a former President of the prestigious International Reciprocal Trade Association's Corporate Barter Council, after having previously served as that body's Vice President and its Treasurer. He was also elected to the Board of Directors of the International Reciprocal Trade Association in 1995, and has served in this capacity ever since.
Art was a member of the Ethics Committee of the IRTA, and he served on the association's Task Force that created the barter industry's first code of professional ethics and standards.

Prior to co-founding Active, Art gained a reputation as one of the industry's most knowledgeable media experts. He served in senior sales and management positions at four important broadcast companies: Seltel, Inc., Katz Communications, Field Communications and Kaiser Broadcasting.
Richard Vendig, Chief Financial Officer
Richard E. Vendig is Active International's Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, and Secretary. He oversees all worldwide financial and administrative operations at the Company, and maintains oversight responsibility for risk management, treasury and financial modeling of Active's new business and all administrative support functions.

With more than 30 years financial operations experience with companies such as Katz Media Group, Inc., CBI Holding Company, Ernst & Young, and Curtis Instruments, Rich has an extensive understanding and knowledge base of the financial needs of leading corporations.
Alan Brown, EVP, Worldwide Media
Alan Brown is Executive Vice President of Worldwide Media for Active and is responsible for a global team of media specialists who place electronic media for the company’s worldwide client base.

With more than 28 years of media experience at Active, as well as at Admerex (Advertising Merchandise Exchange), Alan’s leadership has been instrumental in creating the long-term relationships with the media community that have enabled Active to deliver integrated media solutions to clients.
Jim Porçarelli, Chief Strategy Officer
Jim Porçarelli is Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for developing both corporate strategy and strategic initiatives to help Active's clients grow their business.

With nearly 25 years of strategic marketing and advertising experience from companies such WPP, Grey Advertising and the former DMB&B (now Publicis), Jim brings a breadth and depth of involvement with almost every business category including retail, finance, automotive, travel, packaged goods, technology, telecom, fashion, airlines, beverage, kids products and a host of others.
Bill Georges, EVP, Sales
In his current role as Executive Vice President of Sales at Active International, Bill Georges is responsible for revenue growth at Active and brings more than 17 years marketing, advertising and sales leadership experience to the company.

Earlier in his career Georges played competitive tennis, competing at the U.S. Open and playing on the ATP Tennis Tour. After a sports-related injury, Georges turned his full attention to the business world. As Vice President of Sales and sponsorships, he developed and sold integrated television, print and radio sponsorships for the ATP tour, increasing revenues and enhancing the event’s image.

Georges joined Active in 2007, energized by the company’s inventive concept and its potential to redefine barter while expanding into the future of digital marketing. Prior to joining the company, he was Senior Vice President, Advertising and Affiliate Sales for Comcast Networks, including E, Style, The Golf Channel, G4, AZN TV, and Sprout, where he maximized new revenue streams through new digital platforms and unique, integrated marketing programs.
Tom Ruderman, Chief Human Resources Officer
Tom Ruderman is Chief Human Resources Officer for Active International and is responsible for developing the company’s human capital.

With more than 20 years experience at companies such as CIGNA Health Services, GE and others, Tom brings a deep knowledge of human resources best practices and is focused on attracting the best resources across multiple industries to ensure that our clients benefit from the best thinking available.
Sharon Marshall, General Counsel
Sharon Marshall is General Counsel of Active International, managing and overseeing legal operations worldwide. Sharon’s corporate counsel experience with leading companies in the insurance, health and managed care industries, combined with her extensive corporate trade experience, has enabled her to streamline the negotiation process to ensure that Active's clients can focus on achieving their business goals.
