B. Bailey Burk, Founder & CEO
An industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, B. Bailey Burk is recognized throughout the industry as a creative, innovative thinker, who is skilled at organizing and implementing successful marketing, advertising and branding campaigns. He has expertise in a wide range of communications facets, from traditional marketing, advertising and branding techniques to emerging electronic technologies.

Mr. Burk has served in a variety of artistic and managerial roles throughout his career, including partner and president of Burk & Hummel Advertising; partner and vice president of Claypoole, Burk & Hummel Advertising; creative director for Womack, Claypoole Advertising; senior art director for The Sherrill Company; art director for DBG&H Advertising and AV designer for Filmstrips & Slides, Inc.

Actively involved with the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA), Mr. Burk is a member of its North Texas/Oklahoma Council Board of Governors and helped create the AAAA Gold Forum. He is also involved with the Online Marketing Summit’s Search Marketing Group, a research group for online marketing professionals, and is a founding member of its Community Council.

Mr. Burk holds his bachelor’s degree in commercial art from Texas State University — San Marcos, with continuing executive education at SMU Cox School of Business.
Howard Weliver, Senior Art Director
With nearly 15 years of industry experience, Howard Weliver is an expert in artistic design and creativity. His strengths also include brand management, Web development and production services.

In his spare time, Mr. Weliver creates and sells original artwork in all forms, from enamel paintings to metal sculptures and mixed media. As both a commercial and fine art artist, Mr. Weliver strives to create artwork that is simplistic, conceptual and meaningful.

Mr. Weliver has worked for a variety of companies in several artistic and/or design positions, including senior art director for MiresBall, art director for The Point Group, senior designer for Sibley Peteet Design, junior graphic designer for Studiographix and an instructor of graphic design at San Diego State University.

Mr. Weliver holds his bachelor’s degree in advertising design from Stephen F. Austin University and his master’s degree in design communications from Texas A&M University of Commerce. He is also a board member of the Texas Sculpture Association.
Krista Simmons, Director of Public Relations
Krista Simmons has nearly 10 years of professional experience in the communications industry, with particular expertise in public relations, journalism and marketing. Her strengths include copy development, media and community relations and customer service.

Previously, Ms. Simmons served as the executive editor for the “Fort Worth Business Press,” where she oversaw the content and design of the paper and its supplements. She also served as the news editor for the paper, senior writer for Texas Wesleyan University, and marketing and education manager for Plano Symphony Orchestra. At the university, Ms. Simmons was responsible for securing media coverage and developing copy for press releases, university publications and promotional materials. She held a similar position for the symphony, securing media coverage, developing copy and working with the educational outreach program.

Ms. Simmons holds her bachelor’s degree in communication arts with an emphasis in journalism from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and serves on the board for Score A Goal In The Classroom Educational Incentive Program, a nonprofit organization that serves 540,000 students in 39 public school districts and 35 private schools across North Texas.
