Carter Weitz, Chairman/Chief Creative Officer
Carter Weitz embraces the responsibility of developing the agency’s creative firepower with the same zeal he brings to attacking clients’ business challenges as vice chairman and chief creative officer. Under Carter’s leadership, Bailey Lauerman has been recognized four times by the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) as one of the top five creative agencies in the U.S. for its size. The agency’s work consistently has been recognized in national and international competitions, including Graphis, Communication Arts, Effie Awards, One Show, CLIOs and the National ADDYs. Carter has attracted some of the brightest talent from all corners of the country, proving the theory that great work attracts great people.
Andy Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer
Andy Fletcher was born into the advertising industry at an early age. Spanning a career of more than two decades, Andy recently joined Bailey Lauerman as their chief executive officer.

At 26, the University of Florida graduate launched a full-service office of Fletcher/Mayo/Associates in Chicago. From there, Andy landed several leadership positions with various agencies across the country, including Nebraska-based Swanson Russell Associates and Atlanta-based agencies Della Femina Travisano & Umphenour and Martin Agency.

He later served as the president of Barkley. Moving his career to Atlanta, Fletcher became partner, president, and chief executive officer at Tausche Martin Lonsdorf, which later became Fletcher Martin, an MDC Partners agency.

Along the way, numerous brands have benefited from his expertise, including Arby’s, Energizer, General Electric, Helzberg Diamonds, Learjet, and Garmin.
Julia Doria, EVP/Chief Marketing Officer
As chief marketing officer and director of our account service department, Julia has developed a sixth sense for knowing exactly what clients need—whether they’ve just signed on with Bailey Lauerman, or they’ve been with us for decades. A two-time Effie Award winner, Julia charges headfirst into the challenge of developing the smartest solutions possible for the brands we serve. And she’s led that service for some of America’s most-noted entertainment and CPG brands, including AMC Theatres, Bass Pro Shops, Cargill and the Toro Corporation.
Mary Palu, EVP/Connections Strategy
Prior to joining Bailey Lauerman, Mary managed the brand strategy and project management team at Bozell, and served as a senior PR strategist with Ketchum's (San Francisco) food and nutrition practice. Mary brings more than 15 years of experience in client service and strategy for national brands, including Dreyers/Edy’s Ice Cream's better-for-you products, Häagen-Dazs, Kikkoman International and Trinchero Family Estates Winery. She led the successful rebranding efforts for Alegent Health, oversaw market segmentation strategy for the opening of Presbyterian Healthcare Services' new Rio Rancho hospital, and the website development strategy for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska.
Doug Hagge, EVP/Chief Strategy Officer
Doug Hagge has more than 25 years of experience as a brand strategist and account planner, and is proud to have contributed to 11 Effie Award-winning campaigns during his career. As an insightful thinker, Doug is especially adept at uncovering and articulating a brand’s essence. Blending the emotional with the rational, Doug’s brand strategies have led numerous clients to unprecedented revenue and brand preference gains. His client experience not only includes Harley-Davidson, Porsche, General Mills, Harvard Business School and Tractor Supply Company, but health care assignments for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, Health Partners and The National Marrow Donor Program (Be The Match). Doug continues to apply his craft to help lead branding efforts for CommunityAmerica Credit Union, Union Pacific, Disney and AMC Theatres.
