Domenico Vitale, Founder, Chief Idea Architect
As a native Italian, Domenico began his career at Saatchi & Saatchi, Rome. About fifteen years ago, he bid farewell to the Coliseum and headed for the Big Apple, continuing his advertising career at Ogilvy & Mather, New York where he worked on esteemed brands such as Jaguar (Global), Ford Motor Company (Global) and numerous Hershey's brands including Reese's, the Hershey Bar, Kisses and Jolly Rancher, Motorola and Kodak.

Domenico then joined the team at Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners working on accounts such as Tommy Hilfiger, Wyndham, DLJDirect, Rockport, Olympus, Sol Beer, The History Channel and LVMH brands such as Hennessy.

Needing a break from New York, he spent time in Amsterdam where he became part of the management team opening up the MVBMS, Euro RSCG office to service Volvo around the continent.

Domenico then returned to Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners to become Managing Partner. There, he built one of the strongest and most innovative offerings in the US, working on accounts such as Kao brands, BMW, Citibank, Edward Jones, Carabbas, NetJets, Moët & Chandon, Hennessy, Diageo, CIT and many others. Domenico then became part of the leadership team at Lowe Worldwide in New York. Under his supervision, Lowe managed brands like Sharp, Aruba, Milk and Unilever.

Today, Domenico has created one of the most innovative offerings in the industry with his new company People Ideas & Culture and CY&N by PI&C (the content arm), a modern, progressive company using creativity to redefine how solutions are brought to clients in the 21st century. PI&C is built on a new model free from the limitations of crushing overheads and channels. 40 people in New York trying to solve problems in a modern, nimble and unique fashion that is attracting the attention of clients of all sizes such as Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Hotels around the world,,, Vodka6100,, a WNBA team and Mohegan Sun amongst others. PI&C has also been part of creating new brands from scratch such as Grace & Coffees of Rwanda a partnership with Grace Hightower De Niro and her husband Robert De Niro.

It is time to change things after all. PI&C is a part of the change. In the past year Domenico and his partner also focused part of their attention and efforts into launching an innovative global concept right in the heart Copenhagen, Europe’s capital of Industrial Design. Named Y by PI&C, this fresh, nimble agency focuses on serving the Group’s European clients as well as on industrial design projects, production development and solutions leadership.

Domenico has a Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University in Washington D.C. He has been considered for years a future thinker of this business and has been a speaker at several communication conferences and lectured at universities including Yale Graduate School of Business, NYU Stern and Columbia University. He held national co-Chairmanship for Committees with the 4As from 2002 to 2006. He is also part of the 4As NY Council and is on the boards of the Miami Ad School and Taproot Foundation. He lives in Nolita… way too close to PI&C.
Doug Raboy, Chief Idea Architect
As an innocent young man, Doug attended school at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a B.A. from the Annenberg School of Communications. He got his first job in advertising at Calet Hirsch & Spector. There, he worked as a copywriter on such accounts as Toshiba Electronics, Alitalia Airlines and Clairol. It was at Calet Hirsch where Doug learned to write, thanks to one of the legendary figures in the business, Neil Calet, who knew just when to throw Doug out of his office and when to offer a little praise.

Doug then moved to the legendary DDB, where things began to take off. At DDB, he worked on every account at the agency, including 100% Colombian Coffee, Crown Royal, Chivas Regal, Hershey’s, Volkswagen, The New York State Lottery, Clairol and Ore-Ida Frozen Foods, to name a few. Doug’s work won virtually every major creative award there is. In fact, his 100% Colombian Coffee ads even earned a Kelly Award nomination for best magazine campaign of the year. Doug was also selected by Adweek as one of the copywriters to watch.

Four years later, Doug left to become the Creative Director at Smith/Greenland, where he attempted to wake up an agency that had fallen asleep. At Smith/Greenland, Doug created the campaign of which he is most proud, a pro bono effort for a group called “Citizens For Racial Harmony.”

Soon after, Doug met Adam Hanft and helped create Hanft Raboy & Partners. He built an agency with an incredible entrepreneurial spirit filled with creative thinkers. His game-changing work around the world for clients like (US, UK, France, Spain Sweden, Australia and Japan), (US, UK), (UK, Germany), AT&T, Vimeo and Virgin Mobile, among many others, has had a huge impact on their brands and the people who love them. He’s also been heavily involved in the creation of brands that have gone on to fame and fortune. Including iVillage,,, And 1 Basketball Clothing. The industry seems to like his work too. It’s won at The One Show, Art Director’s Club, The Effiies, The Webby’s, The Glaad Awards, Cannes, well, you get the idea.

In September 2011, Doug joined forces with Domenico to help create a new type of agency for the 21st Century. Also joining him at PI&C are,, and AOL.

Doug is the proud papa of an nine-year old girl and seven-year old boy. He lives uptown in Harlem. His other love, the Knicks, will have to wait.
