West got into advertising more than 20 years ago because it seemed like it would be better than taking a real job. Along the way, he’s raced go-karts against Formula 1 champions, sipped Tennessee whiskey in Chinese focus groups and bagged more than his fair share of groceries. Not bad for a day job.

West’s career has taken him far and wide. Borrowing a page from Gertrude Stein, he adopted Paris as his hometown when he got his first job in advertising. West began his career in account management with DDB Paris (learning to argue with the French), and later spent time in leadership roles at Grey, DDB London and Arnold.

Over the years, he helped introduce Budweiser across Europe, establish Mobil 1 as the lubricant of choice around the globe, acclimate Europeans to the direct purchase model of Dell Computer and led global branding for Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey including its launch into China.

West currently serves on the boards of With Purpose (dedicated to bridging the funding gap for childhood cancer research), the Jacksonville, FL Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Television, Motion Picture & Commercial Production, and the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute Leadership Council.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill, and his Master of Business Administration from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
David Bonner, Chief Creative Officer
David has been in the business for just over 20 years. Following stints as a Navy Intelligence Officer and NCIS Special Agent, David turned in his gun and credentials for a career in advertising. And after convincing BBDO that advertising campaigns were akin to military strike operations, he was in. With some beginner’s luck on Apple, Pepsi, Campbell’s, Hostess, Frito-Lay, Wrigley’s and other brands, he landed in a hot design boutique to work on Toyota and Canada’s premier wines, Inniskillin and Jackson-Triggs.

Soon enough, a plea arrived to help rescue floundering JWT Chicago’s work on Kraft, Northwestern Mutual and win Illinois Tourism. His first Executive Creative Director gig followed at the nation’s third oldest agency, Doe-Anderson. David led the work that welcomed Maker’s Mark into the Outdoor Advertising Hall of Fame. His brand work also included Kohler, and a variety of regional brands including Shoney’s.

Family life in Florida beckoned to a new top creative post where he helped grow Zaxby’s restaurants from 100 to 550+ stores along with consistent double-digit same store sales, win the business of the nation’s largest lottery business – the Florida Lottery – and relaunch Powerball. He also led a food-centric agency with Butterball, Perdue, McCormick, Phillips Seafood, the Original Cakerie, Segafredo Coffee, Evolution Craft Beer and Vulcan Restaurant Equipment.

David’s work has been recognized by his peers at Cannes, One Show, Communication Arts, the Clios, London International, and the National ADDYs.
Patricia Courtois, EVP, Chief Client Officer
For more than 30 years, Patricia, a Northwestern University alumnus, has lead brand communications, media relations, community relations and corporate philanthropy for companies and brands including Beatrice Foods, Sara Lee, Tropicana, Sweet ’N Low, Butter Buds, Sugar in the Raw and ClosetMaid.

During her tenure at Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida, she oversaw advertising, public relations and promotions for Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice and orchestrated its launch in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Courtois joined Clarke Advertising and Public Relations (later rebranded as C-Suite Communications) in 1999, and in January 2005, purchased the agency from founder Tim Clarke. In 2014, the agency was named a finalist for GrowFL’s Florida Companies to Watch. The firm was acquired by On Ideas, a Jacksonville marketing and communications consultancy in January 2017.

Patricia serves on the boards of Friendship Centers, Florida Studio Theatre, Doctors Hospital and the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County. She also serves on the Southeastern Guide Dogs Development Council and All Faiths Food Bank Marketing Committee. Patricia serves at the national level on the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4As) Florida Board of Governors and in their Women CEO Forum. In 2013, Patricia was named a Finalist for Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Business Woman of the Year. She has also served as a board member and officer of The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, a member of the Sarasota County Tourism and Economic Development Board, and past chair of the Leadership Council of the United Way Women’s Initiative. She is a former board member of the Sarasota County Arts Council, the Literacy Council of Sarasota and past president of the Sarasota Sunrise Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.
Denise Graham, VP, Director of Account Services
Denise joined On Ideas in 2006 and oversees our account management teams.
She uses her expertise to develop and implement strategic communications plans that include brand development, marketing communications, advertising, online marketing, media relations, community relations, event planning and crisis communications. Since joining On Ideas, she’s worked with a variety of consumer and B2B clients including Veolia North America, Johnson & Johnson Vision, Enterprise Florida,, Charlestowne Hotels, Christophe Harbour properties and Catholic Charities,
among others.

Prior to joining On Ideas, Denise worked with Ogilvy PR Worldwide in Dublin, Ireland, on an array of corporate, consumer and public affairs accounts, including Nokia,
JCDecaux Ireland, the Irish Bankers Federation, the International Center for Alcohol Policy, the Dublin Docklands Development Authority, Brittany Ferries and the Irish Government. In her role as Account Director, she developed campaign strategies incorporating media relations, product launches, corporate communications,
research and brand development.

Denise graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunication. She is currently president-elect of the North Florida Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and has served on its board since 2007.
Juliette Reynolds, VP, Director of Digital Strategy
An accomplished writer, editor, author, speaker and strategist, Juliette has held various senior positions in digital and content strategy for media outlets and agencies, including Miles, MMGY Global, IDEAS and Pace Communications. Most recently, Juliette led digital strategy, user experience and content and campaign strategy for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ content marketing efforts.
Juliette has deep experience in retail marketing, real estate, financial services and hospitality. Client engagements include Trulia, USAA, Wells Fargo, Southwest Airlines, ClosetMaid and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, among others.
Mike Woeppel, Chief Production Officer
Driven by a love for technology, design and motion, Mike started his career as an intern at On Ideas and evolved in to a broadcast producer, working on all of Winn-Dixie’s retail television and radio, as well as First Federal, Venus Swimwear and Halifax Health.

His entrepreneurial spirit and passion for digital storytelling led him to start a small creative digital boutique where he worked on a number of one-off digital experiences for Chick-fil-A, PSS World Medical, and Community First. Back for the second time at On Ideas, now as the chief production officer, he brings digital solutions for business building.

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Mike got swept away by waves and fell in love with the charm of Neptune Beach, Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys modifying anything with a motor, opening up his dirt bike on the trails, snowboarding (what else do Buffalonians do with all that snow?), boating and travel.
