Charlie MacLeod, President
President and co-founder of SMM, Charlie is a versatile executive with academic credentials in business and marketing, and more 20 years of agency management experience. His background also includes executive positions in communications and human resources for a major US corporation. A hands-on leader and skilled strategist, he is directly involved in the planning and management of many agency accounts. Charlie complements his work at the agency by teaching graduate-level courses in marketing at Stony Brook University's affiliates for MBA students in China, Taiwan and South Korea.
Judy Bellem, Principal/Account Supervisor
Judy is an expert marketing communications leader with a broad range of experience in manufacturing, industrial and furnishings. She is especially adept at the integration of digital marketing, PR, SEO and social media into results-driven dynamic lead generation campaigns. Judy is also highly experienced at trade show planning and management. She has senior level relationships with top influencers in manufacturing, senior-level association managers, media publishers, and is an award winning B2B social media strategist.
Tricia Folliero, Vice President, Recruitment Advertising
Tricia manages our recruitment advertising division. A seasoned professional with more than 15 years of diverse advertising experience, she excels at developing innovative recruitment strategies. Tricia employs a variety of proven techniques to deliver cost-effective recruitment programs, including employer branding, recruitment marketing, hiring process re-engineering, web solutions and staffing technologies. Before joining SMM she managed a regional office for a worldwide recruitment marketing firm, overseeing a staff of 20 professionals. Tricia is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and serves as Chairperson of the One Stop Committee of the Suffolk County Department of Labor’s Workforce Investment Board.
Judy DeBiase, Vice President
As vice president, Judy is heavily involved with all key clients, as well as with the agency’s ongoing new business development efforts. Judy also manages all aspects of art, production and agency traffic flow, as well as overseeing the day-to-day activities of the agency. An accomplished designer herself, Judy supervises the work of the agency’s art directors, graphic artists and production personnel, and, as network administrator, manages SMM’s technical infrastructure.
Bill Blaney, Creative Director
Bill is a brand expert, marketing and digital strategist, and best-selling author. His Fortune 500 work includes extensive branding programs for Canon, Festo, Tiffen, Stony Brook University and JP Morgan Chase, to name a few. A communications graduate of Temple University, Bill is author of the book, “B2B A to Z: Marketing Tools And Strategies That Generate Leads For Your Business To Business Company.” He has written extensively for Business2Community, Explore B2B and the Huffington Post Small Business, and has lectured on branding and marketing in both media and industry conferences.
Jan Krsanac, Marketing Director/Account Executive
Jan’s responsibilities include new business and marketing program development for both agency clients and SMM itself. Jan has a proven track record of the successful direction of comprehensive advertising and marketing campaigns, and is particularly adept at handling complex agency accounts that require high attention to detail and responsiveness. For her clients, she manages all project, scheduling and budgeting needs, while also spearheading the development of recommendations for new marketing initiatives. Jan is also involved in developing and managing budgets for many of the agency’s key clients, and is frequently called upon for the direction of special projects. Her accounts have included manufacturing, education, the energy industry, financial and legal services, healthcare, real estate advisory firms, and the defense industry.
Jennifer Schmitt, Media Director
Jen serves as SMM’s media director and also manages several of the agency’s media-based accounts. Her experience includes consumer and business media in the Long Island and New York metro region, as well as business-to-business media in a variety of industries. Jen’s strengths include industry research, comparative media evaluation, budget management, rate negotiation and media purchase. Jen has implemented integrated media campaigns for our clients that include print, television, web, radio and out-of-home.
